Another view of the galleries looking out .  


The  ancient Khmer did not know how to build arch so they built the roof in a crenelated fashion supported by massive pillars like this.


The roof is supported by massive pillars. There are made of single piece of stone weighing  tons.


 The corridors inside are a bit narrow and long.

These galleries called the gallery of thousand Buddhas once contained statues of Buddha but most were stolen during the war and only a handful remain. Although Angkor is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, the Buddha statues were added later during the Buddhist period.
