Ta Prohm

The spectacular ruins of Ta Prohm leave you without words.

Trees that grew over the centuries grip the temple in a tight embrace. It was the site of the movie "Tomb raider" .

Many of the corridors are impassable ,clogged with jumbled piles of delicately carved stones.

It is temple of towers, closed courtyards and narrow corridors.

Built from 1186 as a Buddhist temple, it was originally known as Rajavihara and was dedicated to the mother of King Jayavarman VII .
