Now we come to the inner courtyard of the temple that has deep tanks(empty now) that were used for religious purposes in ancient times. 

At the end of the causway it is the snake raising its multihead.Behind is the gate.

The rectangular outer wall seen here is 1025m by 800 m and has a gate on each side but the main entrance is a 235m porch and is richly carved and decorated and is on the western side.
